Shots and affects

We have both been researching different types of shots and affects used in video's of groups that have similar qualities to our group. A shot in a video, both me and Christiana had interest in, was the the one used at the beginning of The Pussycat Dolls' 'I Don't Need a Man'. I like the way the shots have been edited and the effect of the fast cut images with a changing background and affect. We are hoping to add a similar shot in our video, near the end where the beat of the song is quite fast and says 'bounce baby bounce bounce'.

We also liked the idea of the affect used in Danity Kanes's 'Damaged' at 2.58-3.04. We will be using this affect as the close up shots will meet Goodwin's theory of demands of the record label. Also, as our group is just starting out, the close-ups on each group member will allow them to to be identified as individuals and make them recognizable to our audience.
