This is our new mood board.

Intertextual reference

We have chosen to reference Britney Spears's 'Hit Me Baby' in our video when she is sitting in her lesson waiting for the bell the ring and then running out of the classroom performing a dance routine.

We have chosen this as it is a good representation of our message of 'Girls just wanna have fun'. Also, Britney Spears is an independent female figure which isone of our groups ideologies.

We have filmed footage of the artists and a group of girls sitting in the school library and then running out and dancing to show that girls should have fun wherever are; even if it is in school. However, we are not influencing people to rebel in school which is why the girls are seen to be studying in the shot in the library.

Poster

This is my poster promoting our single. The repetitive writing in the background ties in with my digi pak as it is also used on it.

The same font which is used throughout our production is also used. The artists are present

on the poster wearing the costumes they are in in the videos when coming back from their night

out; hence the black background.

The album name is written in a colour which looks like it has light coming out of it which shows that

the girls have fun during the night and day.

Digi Pack

This is my Digi pack. Most section includes a picture of the artists as they are a new group starting out and therefore would need to be easily identified and recognizable. It includes screen shots from our video to create a link between the two. The back page shows all the tracks available on the album whilst the front is a picture of the artists and the group name written in the font that is used in our logo and is consistent throughout our production. Our logo is also used framed by pictures of the artists. The repetition of 'Good Girlz Bad' is used as a connotation to writing lines which is usually used as a punishment for youths acting up, which goes with the theme of going out and having fun and then getting in trouble with your parents.

Footage

After deciding the concept of the video and deciding on including split screens to illustrate the narrative for thevideo, we both took home a camera and filmed ourselves getting ready for a night out, getting in trouble with our parents, and leaving for and coming home from a night out.

I used Final Cut Pro to edit our video. However, I found it to be difficult to split screen all our footage as some of the frames of the footage we shot were to big to be split, therefore some shots of the artists on their own performing the narrative, ensuring that both members of the group had equal screen time.

Split screens

Our video will consist of a lot of split screens to show the two separate fun and exciting lives of the artists. There will be split screens of the artists doing the same thing in the narrative to show the normality of teenagers going out to parties and coming home late, and so that other teenagers can relate to it. The beginning of the video will all be split screen showing the two girls doing the same thing but on their own.

Split screens are used through out the video to put across the message of individuality. Although there are two members in the group, the split screens allows viewers to recognize them as individuals putting across the same message and not that they need each other to form an image.

Concept

We came up with the concept of the artists following through a narrative of going out and coming home late, which matches the lyrics to the song. We will then go on to show the artists at school still having as much fun in school as they do outside, accentuating our message of 'Girls just want to have fun'. The video will consist of the artists having fun and doing typical things that teenage girls do.
